Tentative dates for NBA playoffs, Finals revealed?

The NBA season is set to resume this summer with a 22-team format at Walt Disney World following a hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, and we're slowly beginning to learn more details surrounding the return to action.

Several dates were revealed for the return-to-play-plan during an NBA Players Union call on Monday, according to Stadium's Shams Charania, and we won't be waiting too much longer for the season to resume.

The play-in tournament reportedly will be held between Aug. 16-17 with the first round of the playoffs set to begin on Aug. 18, Charania reports. The second round of the playoffs will begin on Sept. 1, with the conference finals to begin on Sept. 15. Game 1 of the NBA Finals would then take place on Sept. 30 and run no later than Oct. 12.

It appears that players will likely take part in a lengthy training camp beginning in mid-July before the season officially begins. However, some teams have already begun allowing players to work out at team facilities in a limited capacity.
