Bronny James is the son of Lakers superstar LeBron James, and it is quite likely that he'll end up making the NBA in the future. He is already a good prospect, but the question is about how good Bronny James will be in the league.

NBA veteran Thaddeus Young has recently stated that Bronny James is "solid as hell", but added that he's probably not among the "elite of the elite". Young did, however, point out that Bronny James is athletic, strong and a versatile player, adding that he loves James' game. Billy Witz and Adam Zagoria of the New York Times relayed the news.

At this year’s in-person evaluation season, which just ended this week, college coaches saw a different side of Bronny, who has often played a supporting role on his high school and travel-ball teams. Over the last few months, the Strive for Greatness roster perpetually churned, the team rarely won and Bronny was left to carry his team — a role that is familiar in the household.

“He’s solid as hell,” said Thaddeus Young, who just finished his 15th N.B.A. season and sponsored a team that played Strive for Greatness, an assessment that was largely echoed by college coaches and N.B.A. scouts. “Obviously, probably not the elite of the elite. But he’s athletic, he’s strong, he plays defense, he can shoot the ball well, he can run the point guard position, he can play off ball.”

“I love his game,” Young added.

Even if Bronny James does not become a superstar, he will likely still be a prospect that is worth developing for an NBA team due to his skill and potential. Another benefit of drafting Bronny James would be the potential of LeBron James joining that franchise, as the elder James has previously stated that he plans to play with his son before retiring.

Hopefully, we see Bronny James find success in his basketball career going forward. It is unfair to expect him to become as good as his father, but that doesn't mean Bronny James can't be a productive player in the league.
