For Draymond Green, the one name he was attached to from December last year, was Jusuf Nurkic. Nurkic’s comments after the incident caused Green to lose a lot of face. The center also did not stop calling out the Golden State Warriors superstar at every step possible. After all that, with the Phoenix Suns getting swept in the playoffs, it was Green’s turn to have the last laugh.
Draymond Green took the most opportune moment to talk about it on his podcast, The Draymond Green Show.
That's all folks! You gotta be really careful when you're not that successful. And you try to take jabs at people, when you don't play a large enough role in your team success. When you can't really affect the outcome of the game. It's really tough to take jabs at people. Because you gotta jab and then like, you can't affect what your end result is. The Big Softie bowed out. Draymond Green said
The Golden State Warriors superstar essentially shut down Jusuf Nurkic with these comments. As he said, Nurkic’s comments did not age well.
The backdrop of these comments has nothing to do with Green hitting Nurkic in December. Instead, it was after Nurkic trolled Green, after his Warriors were eliminated in the play-in games. Now Nurkic and his Suns were the first team to exit the playoffs after getting swept.

Which is why it was the best time for Green to troll a player, who, according to the Warriors superstar, does not have the game to back up his talk. The future of the Phoenix Suns is up in the air, but Green knows his team will be back next season in the playoffs.
Green and his teammates were the first to pack their bags as the play-in games delivered its first send-off. The most talked about scenario was whether the Golden State Warriors’ big 3 will lineup together next season. Even though nothing has been set in stone, the trio have made their intentions clear.
In all likelihood, the Warriors will bring back Klay Thompson at a discount compared to his current salary. It is also possible that they bring back Chris Paul on a bargain. After all, his body of work in helping the bench make strides towards the end of the season was not overlooked.
All in all, if Draymond Green can keep his mind in place, and the Warriors manage their health, they can be optimistic. Next season, they will be out for blood from the first whistle.
