The 2026 NBA Finals get underway on Wednesday night, with Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks hosting Victory Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs at Madison Square Garden in Game 1.
Despite droughts of 27 and 12 years respectively, both franchises have reason to believe they’ll lift the Larry O’Brien Trophy. The Knicks are riding a dominant 11-game winning streak with back-to-back sweeps of Philadelphia and Cleveland, while the Spurs just eliminated the defending-champion Oklahoma City Thunder on the road.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. The last time these two teams met in the NBA Finals, the Spurs beat the Knicks in five games in 1999. With that being said, can you name each team’s leading scorer from that season?
Good luck!
