With the Cleveland Cavaliers beating the Toronto Raptors in the final of three Game 7’s in the NBA Playoffs this weekend, the Conference Semifinals are officially set.
The Cavs were led by center Jarrett Allen, who tied with Donovan Mitchell for a team-high 22 points while also grabbing 19 rebounds and blocking three shots in the 114-102 victory. In the process, he joined LeBron James as the only Cleveland Cavaliers to score at least 20 points and haul in at least 15 rebounds in a Game 7.
“That’s the best I’ve ever seen him,” Cleveland head coach Kenny Atkinson said of Allen after the win.
“The offensive rebounding. We needed the inside scoring. We needed someone besides James [Harden] and Donovan [Mitchell]. He was just absolutely incredible tonight.”
Their reward is a date with the No. 1-seed Detroit Pistons, who climbed out of a 3-1 hole to beat the Orlando Magic in seven games.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. How many of the players to go for at least 20 and 15 in a Game 7 since the NBA/ABA merger in 1976-77 can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
