The '30-point, 0-assist playoff games' quiz

Victor Wembanyama was the clear-cut No. 1-overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, but Scoot Henderson’s position in that draft was less obvious. The Charlotte Hornets went with Brandon Miller at No. 2, leaving Portland free to select Scoot third-overall 

The Spurs might be wishing the Charlotte Hornets went with Henderson, as the 22 year old G-League Ignite product went off for 31 points on 11-of-17 shooting and 5-of-9 from deep to even the series at 1-1. 

There may be an asterisk beside this game in the minds of Spurs fans as Wemby left the game in concussion protocol after a nasty fall in the second quarter, but Blazers fans celebrating their first postseason win since the first round of the 2021 playoffs won’t care. 

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Another notable fact about Henderson’s scoring explosion is that it came without him recording a single assist, making him the 67th player in playoff history to score at least 30 points without a helper since the NBA/ABA merger.
