The '35 points after turning 35' quiz

Whenever LeBron James is set to move to a new team, the NBA world gets a little silly.

The latest example of that is the reaction to the Miami Heat’s recently-deleted link on Youtube, entitled “LeBron James Introductory Press Conference,” and was scheduled for July 27. ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that a Heat spokesman told him the link was posted by “mistake,” and the club was simply "preparing for the possibility of James’ signing.”

Whether it was a mistake because he’s yet to make a decision at all, or a mistake because he hasn’t made the decision public yet will likely be the subject of debate until we learn one way or the other.

LeBron’s pending decision has the entire league – all the way up to commissioner Adam Silver – waiting on tenterhooks, but the 22-time All-Star’s agent Rich Paul said he has no plans to rush his choice for what will likely be the final NBA team of his career.

James will turn 42 during the 2026-27 season, but he still averaged 20.9 points, 7.2 assists and 6.1 rebounds in a career-low 33.2 minutes-per-game last year with the Lakers. While he may not be the cornerstone to build a franchise around anymore, he showed he can still more than contribute.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. James posted three 30-point games last year, topping out at 36 in a December loss to the Clippers. With that being said, can you name the NBA players to score 35 points in a game at least once after their 35th birthday?

Good luck!
