The Cleveland Cavaliers have been quiet in a chaotic NBA offseason so far, but they finally got a big deal done.
NBA insider Shams Charania reported that seven-time All-Star Donovan Mitchell signed the maximum four-year, $273 million contract extension to stay with the Cavs through 2030-31 on July 7 after averaging 27.9 points, 5.7 assists and 4.5 rebounds-per-game last season.
After falling to the New York Knicks in the 2026 Eastern Conference Finals, Cleveland could be one of the most star-studded teams by name in the NBA next season. They’re expected to bring back James Harden and are a favorite to land LeBron James for a third and final stint. According to The Athletic’s Joe Vardon, the extension doesn’t impact Cleveland’s salary cap for the upcoming season and therefore won’t hurt their chances at a final reunion with LeBron.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. At his best, Mitchell has proven himself one of the most explosive scorers in the NBA, scoring a career-high 71 points in his first season with Cleveland and posting at least one 40-point game in eight of his nine professional campaigns. With that being said, can you name the NBA players to score at least 60 points in a single game?
Good luck!
