The Cleveland Cavaliers needed a win at home over the Detroit Pistons in Game 3 to avoid the dreaded 3-0 series deficit in the Eastern Conference semifinals. Thanks to a 2026 playoff-high 35 points from Donovan Mitchell and a 19-point, seven-assist performance from James Harden, they got it.
The Cavs took a 64-48 lead into the locker room and withstood a 33-19 third quarter from Detroit to capture an important 116-109 victory. Mitchell also surpassed 2,000 points in his postseason career in his 73rd game, becoming the ninth-fastest player in NBA history to reach that milestone.
Mitchell and Co. get a chance to even the series at 2-2 on their home floor in Game 4 on Monday night.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Mitchell is one of 29 active NBA players with at least 1,500 career points in the postseason. How many of those players can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
