The Bulls Must Beat Joel Embiid and the 76ers Tonight
David Banks-USA TODAY Sports

The Bulls need to pick up a win in the city of "Brotherly Love".

The Chicago Bulls had one hell of a weekend, winning both contests of their back-to-back slate. A wild double-overtime victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday preceded a 113-99 defeat of the Miami Heat at the United Center on Saturday.

With the pair of victories, the Bulls thrust themselves into the final spot of the play-in, surging 2.5 games ahead of Washington and Indiana. However, they have to play flawless basketball from here on out to maintain that cushion and keep their play-in hopes alive.

The Bulls are set to embark on a tough week as they'll see the Eastern Conference's second seed twice in a short span. It's a home-and-home slate as the Bulls will visit the Philadelphia 76ers Monday before traveling back to Chicago for a meeting at the United Center on Wednesday.

The Bulls have a tall task ahead of them. They have never beaten Sixers' star Joel Embiid, who is 12-0 against the Bulls since entering the league. The MVP candidate is averaging 29.1 PPG, 11.3 RPG, and 4 APG against Chicago in his career but did not suit up in the latest head-to-head meeting on Jan. 6.

Per the Bulls' injury report, Alex Caruso (foot) and Javonte Green (knee) are questionable for Monday's matchup. The Bulls will need all hands on deck if they want to keep this momentum going against one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference.
