The Los Angeles Clippers have acquired Bogdan Bogdanovic and three second-round picks from the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for Terance Mann and Bones Hyland, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania. This move comes as the Clippers look to bolster their depth and shooting while the Hawks continue reshaping their roster.
Trade Details
Los Angeles Clippers Receive: Bogdan Bogdanovic and three second-round picks
Atlanta Hawks Receive: Terance Mann and Bones Hyland
Bogdanovic, a proven scorer and playmaker, has struggled this season, shooting just 30.1% from three-point range—well below his career average of 38.0%. However, he remains a valuable offensive asset with the ability to create his own shot and stretch the floor.
In 24 games this season, he has averaged 10.0 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.0 assists. The Clippers are betting on him rediscovering his shooting touch as they continue their push for playoff positioning in the Western Conference.
For Atlanta, this move allows them to shed Bogdanovic’s contract while acquiring young assets. The 31-year-old is in the second year of a four-year, $68 million deal, and with the Hawks sitting at ninth in the Eastern Conference with a 23-28 record, they opted to move on from him. In return, they receive Mann, a solid two-way wing, and Hyland, an explosive scoring guard.
Mann, 27, has been a key rotation piece for the Clippers, averaging 6.0 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 19.8 minutes per game this season. He is signed through the 2027-28 season on a three-year, $47 million extension that has yet to kick in. His versatility and defensive ability make him a strong fit for the Hawks, especially after they traded De’Andre Hunter to the Cleveland Cavaliers earlier in the day.
Hyland, 23, has struggled to find consistent playing time with the Clippers, appearing in just 20 games this season. He has averaged 7.2 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 11.1 minutes per game. Hyland will be a restricted free agent in the offseason, giving the Hawks flexibility in deciding whether to retain him or explore other options.
Clippers, currently sitting at 28-22 and sixth in the Western Conference, have struggled with offensive consistency despite having a strong defensive presence.
This trade provides the Clippers with much-needed offensive help in Bogdanovic while giving the Hawks financial flexibility and young talent as they continue their roster retooling.
