The 'Last 40-point game by NBA franchise' quiz

After jumping from 14 wins in 2023-24 to 44 wins in 2024-25, the Detroit Pistons are showing their improvement was no fluke so far in 2025-26. The Pistons are 15-2 and tied a franchise-record 13 wins in a row with a 122-117 win over the Indiana Pacers. 

The previous two Pistons teams to win 13-consecutive contests went on to win the NBA title , most recently in 2004. While Detroit was able to extend the streak through a three-game absence from Cade Cunningham following his 46-point barrage against Washington, he hasn’t missed a beat since returning on Nov 18. 

The former No. 1-overall NBA Draft pick has eclipsed 20 points in his three games back, including 24 in the win over Indiana to go with 11 rebounds and six assists. 

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Cunningham owns five of the last six 40-point games for a player in a Pistons uniform. How many of the players to score at least 40 points most recently for each NBA franchise can you name in five minutes?
