The Milwaukee Bucks acquire Damian Lillard in a blockbuster three-team trade

New super duo in Milwaukee?

This bombshell came out of nowhere, as it seemed inevitable that Dame would end up on the Heat, one of the rare teams on his target list. But after weeks of failed negotiations between Miami and Portland, other teams started entering the race, and Milwaukee ended up as the winner.

This will team up Lillard with Giannis Antetokounmpo, making them quite possibly the newest best duo in the NBA. It seems the Bucks front office took Antetokounmpo's wish to compete for more championships seriously, as this could be a juggernaut of a team for years to come.

Did the Bucks lose too much?

Although getting a superstar talent like Lillard is always fun, you have to look at the other side of the coin. In the process, the Bucks have lost two starters in Jrue and Grayson, a 2029 first-round pick, and two pick swaps.

Losing Holiday, who has been an integral and loved part of the Bucks organization for the past few years, will be a tough blow, but Milwaukee fans will always reminisce about his tenure here fondly, especially because of the 2021 championship.

Allen was also a valuable contributor for the Bucks in the past two seasons, as his shooting and defense will surely help him find a role with the Suns.
