The 'Most NBA-debut points by NBA team' quiz

It wasn’t the way they drew it up before the season, but the Philadelphia 76ers are officially a 2026 NBA Playoff team.

After a back-and-forth affair for most of the game, the Sixers took control in the fourth quarter to win the frame by seven points and the game 109-97 to lock in their first round matchup with the Boston Celtics.

While Tyrese Maxey will receive plenty of deserved attention for his 31 points and going bucket-for-bucket with Desmond Bane for a while, rookie VJ Edgecombe also had a great game. The 2025 third-overall pick scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in his unofficial postseason debut for Philadelphia.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. While it wasn’t quite the 34-point explosion he produced in his NBA debut way back in October, Edgecombe is proving he doesn’t take long to adjust to unfamiliar situations. With that being said, can you name the players to score the most points in their debut for each NBA team?
