Happy 63rd birthday to one of the members of basketball’s Mount Rushmore, Michael Jordan!
In his 15-year career that included a hiatus to try professional baseball and a return to the court as an owner of the Washington Wizards at the age of 38, Jordan compiled one of the most impressive resumes in NBA history.
After being selected third-overall in the 1984 NBA Draft, Jordan made 14 NBA All-Star games, earned 11 All-NBA selections, won 10 scoring titles, 5 MVPs, and won six Finals MVPs in six championship campaigns. Jordan also made nine All-Defensive teams, won three steals titles and was the 1987-88 Defensive Player of the Year. Jordan also found success on the international stage, winning two Olympic gold medals and serving as the face of the 1992 “Dream Team,” that obliterated the field in Barcelona.
This year, he’s likely celebrating his birthday with his NASCAR team, as they got their first-ever win at the Dayton 500 behind a late-race surge from Tyler Reddick.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Jordan retired with 32,393 points, 6,672 rebounds, 5,633 assists and 2,514 steals in his career. With that being said, how many of the players to score the most points in a single game for every NBA team can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
