The Denver Nuggets were down as many as 13 points in the fourth quarter to the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 1 of the second round of the NBA playoffs. But Nikola Jokic and Aaron Gordon showed off the Nuggets’ championship pedigree, combining for 26 of Denver’s 36 fourth quarter points. The rally was capped by Gordon drilling an open three-pointer in transition off a feed from Russell Westbrook with 2.6 second on the clock following two missed free throws by Chet Holmgren.
Gordon talked about the pass from Westbrook and his decision to take the three while down only one.
“The right play is the open man. Russ makes the right play a lot of times,” Gordon said. “I saw the paint was clogged and thought that was the best look we were going to get.”
Which brings us to today’s quiz. The Thunder have been dominant all season, but the Nuggets – just two years removed from an NBA championship – know how to win in the postseason. With that being said, how many of the players to score the most points in the 2022-23 NBA playoffs can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
