The 'NBA minutes leaders by season' quiz

The Houston Rockets entered Game 4 of their First Round series with the Los Angeles Lakers down 3-0 and missing Kevin Durant. But, led by 23 points from Amen Thompson and 20 from Tari Eason, the Rockets topped the Lakers 115-96 win to stave off elimination for now.

It was a well-rounded scoring night for the Rockets, with the entire starting lineup scoring at least 16 points. As a reported bone bruise in Durant’s sprained ankle will likely be a lingering problem for the rest of the series, Houston will need more efforts like this to hang onto its playoff life.

After splitting the two games in Houston, the series heads back to Los Angeles for Game 5 on Wednesday with the Lakers up 3-1.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Thompson has been a warrior on the court for the Rockets, leading the NBA in minutes played in 2025-26 with 2,953 and playing 41 of the 48 against the Lakers on Sunday. With that being said, can you name the players to lead the NBA in total minutes played each season since 1995-96?

Good luck!
