The 'NBA minutes-per-game leaders' quiz

The Philadelphia 76ers have two chances to earn a spot in the Eastern Conference Playoffs. But with Joel Embiid recovering from an appendectomy, they’ll want to try and get it done on their first try against the Orlando Magic.

If that’s going to happen, it’ll likely require a big game from star guard Tyrese Maxey

Maxey’s been the Sixers best and most consistent player this season, averaging 28.3 points, 6.6 assists with an NBA-high 38.0 minutes-per-game in 70 contests for Philly with their other stars missing extended time. While he did miss 10 games toward the end of the regular season with a finger injury, they held on to home-court advantage in the No. 7/No. 8 Play-In game.

The winner of this game punches their ticket to the playoffs to face the Boston Celtics, while the loser will play the Charlotte Hornets in a do-or-die game for the No. 8 seed in the East.

Which brings us to today’s quiz.  Maxey is the first 76er to lead the NBA in minutes-per-game since 2008-09. With that being said, can you name the players with the most minutes-per-game in each season since the NBA/ABA merger in 1976-77?

Good luck!
