The 'NBA Most Improved Players' quiz

Happy 60th birthday to three-time All-Star, five-time All-NBA selection and 1988-89 NBA Most Improved Player award winner, Kevin Johnson!

Johnson was selected seventh-overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 1987 NBA draft, but was traded to Phoenix as a rookie in a deal that sent Larry Nance heading to Cleveland. Johnson saw his production across the board explode in his second NBA season, with his points-per-game rising from 9.2 to 20.4 and his assists going up from 5.5 to 12.2 from 1987– to 1988-89. The massive jump in production earned him the 1988-89 Most Improved Player award for a Suns team that went 55-27.

Johnson spent the rest of his career in the desert and would go on to have a very solid NBA career. He averaged more than 20 points-per-game in five campaigns and is still 28th all-time in NBA history with 6,711 career-assists.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. How many of the NBA players to win the Most Improved Player award can you name in six minutes?

Good luck!
