With their win over the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night, the Oklahoma City Thunder completed the first step of their title defense by clinching a spot in the 2026 NBA playoffs. Reining-MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 30 points in his second game back after missing nine contests with an abdominal strain.
With 20 games left on their regular season schedule, the Thunder hold a three-game lead over the San Antonio Spurs for the top seed in the Western Conference. SGA has posted 31.8 points, 6.4 assists and 4.4 rebounds-per-game this season, but despite the gaudy numbers, his MVP case could be in doubt. With the NBA’s 65-game minimum requirement for awards like Most Valuable Player, the 27 year old can only miss a handful of games through the end of the regular season and remain eligible for the award.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. If SGA is able to claim a second-consecutive MVP, he’ll be the fourth person to win the award in back-to-back seasons since 2010. With that being said, how many NBA MVPs can you name in seven minutes?
Good luck!
