The 'NBA's No. 1 draft picks' quiz

The 2025 NBA draft tips off tonight in Brooklyn, and there’s little mystery about who will be the first player off of the board. Cooper Flagg – who took home the Wooden Award, Naismith Award, AP Player of the Year and ACC Player of the Year in his lone season at Duke – will all but certainly be a Dallas Maverick shortly after 8pm EST. The 6’9” forward from Maine is just 18 years old and actually reclassified one year to graduate high school early. Flagg said he credits his mother Kelly Flagg – a Maine sports Hall-of-Famer in her own right – for the decision.

“A quote my mom likes to say a lot: ‘If you’re the best player in the gym, then you need to find a new gym,’” Cooper said

Now, he's about to enter the best gyms in the world.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. How many of the players to be taken with the first overall pick of the NBA Draft since the lottery era began in 1985 can you name in five minutes?

Good luck!
