The New York Knicks got back on track after losing three straight games.
The New York Knicks defeated the Chicago Bulls at home after the Bulls beat them in their previous meeting in Chicago.
Then they took care of business with an easy win over the Washington Wizards.
The Knicks are 4-3 and through seven games, one thing has become evident about the Knicks’ season thus far.
The Knicks are 4-0 at home to start the season. They are one of only two teams in the East with a perfect home record, joining the Bulls.
In all four of their home wins, the Knicks have won soundly and haven’t had any issues.
However, on the road the Knicks haven’t recorded a win yet, going 0-3 to start the year.
Only the Indiana Pacers and Brooklyn Nets are the other East teams who have not won on the road. The Pacers are 1-6, while the Nets are 0-7.
For reference, the Knicks were 24-17 on the road last season under Tom Thibodeau.
So, Mike Brown will have to fix the Knicks’ road woes quickly if the Knicks want to be a legitimate title contender this season.
The Knicks have five straight home games coming up so this will be a golden opportunity for Mike Brown and the Knicks to stack up wins.
However, after their homestand, the Knicks will play in five straight road games, which will truly test them early on in the season.
Those road games come against the Miami Heat, Dallas Mavericks, Orlando Magic, Brooklyn Nets and Charlotte Hornets.
If the Knicks struggle during that stretch, that will raise major concerns about their issues on the road.
