On most nights, Nikola Jokic’s 23 points, 21 rebounds and 19 assists would be the story of the game for the Denver Nuggets. But on Wednesday, Jamal Murray stole a bit of his thunder by dropping a season-high 53 points on 19-of-28 shooting and 9-of-14 from three-point range as Denver beat Dallas 142-135.
The game marked the first time in NBA history that one player eclipsed 50 points and another posted 15/15/15 in the same game. After the important win for the Nuggets, Jokic talked about what it’s like when Murray gets hot.
"I mean for me, especially when Jamal is having that kind of game, just trying to get him open. I know he’s going to take and make shots. They started blitzing him and it was my turn to get everybody involved or score," he said of his long-time teammate.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Murray is one of 42 players in NBA history to make at least nine three-pointers in multiple games of their career. How many of those players can you name in six minutes?
Good luck!
