The Warriors Have A Huge Asset Back On The Floor
Darren Yamashita-USA TODAY Sports

How does a championship team like the Golden State Warriors get even better just months after claiming yet another Finals victory?

Apparently, they do it by bringing back one of the most promising and energetic centers in the league.

That is exactly what the Warriors are doing with James Wiseman, who is on the verge of starting his second season in the NBA.

He only played his rookie year before a knee injury sidelined him for all of 2021-22.

Wiseman has been on the road to recovery for months now and finally got to show his stuff during the Warriors’ preseason game in Japan on Friday.

He came to impress and, sure enough, that’s what he did.

Wiseman was good for 20 points and 9 rebounds in 24 minutes.

Most impressively, he was 8-of-11 from the field and played with explosive power.

Wiseman is back and Warriors fans are ecstatic about that.

Wiseman With The Warriors

If Wiseman plays as he did during his sole season with the Warriors, he could be really special and crucial to the team’s success.

He averaged 11.5 points and 5.8 rebounds but played for just 21.4 minutes.

During his time away, the team has tried to beef up its defense and they want Wiseman to be part of that.

That means that Wiseman will likely get more time with his crew.

If he keeps playing as he did in Japan, that will be a brilliant move for Golden State.

He was looking great on the floor and also got some terrific passes and lobs from others, including Stephen Curry.

Working well with Curry is key to getting lots of minutes.

If Wiseman keeps this up, he will be receiving much more than just 21 minutes.
