This Victor Wembanyama stat will blow your mind

Anthony Davis recently said that "a record or milestone is broken" every time LeBron James steps on the floor. Davis was referring to his Lakers teammate being the all-time leader in points scored and minutes played (playoffs included) and threatening to break more records before hanging it up.

Victor Wembanyama is having a similar statistical impact as a rookie, for every time he steps on the court, the Spurs prodigy does things that send historians scrambling to their databases. On Sunday, the French prodigy dropped 33 points, 15 rebounds, seven assists and seven blocks, and in the process, became the youngest player with such a stat line and the first since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in 1974-75.

The 7-footer now has 207 blocks for the season in 60 appearances, averaging 3.5 rejections per game. The stat is so impressive that only 19.6 percent of his active peers in the NBA have even 207 blocks for their career, per StatMamba.

Among active NBA players, 13 players have more than 1,000 career blocks. Another 27 players have more than 500 blocks. If Wemby continues at his current pace, he will be in the 500 club by this time next year. It's incredible how quickly he's about to jump these lists.
