Three Teams Named Potential Trade Partners for Clippers' Kawhi Leonard

While they were undoubtedly better with Leonard on the floor, the fact that his return couldn't elevate them beyond the first round could make him a trade candidate.

Third Apron's Yossi Gozlan even sees a few teams that could be interested in a move for Leonard.

In a recent article, Gozlan named the Denver Nuggets, Miami Heat, and Cleveland Cavaliers as potential trade partners for a Leonard deal.

The Cavaliers have just about nothing to interest the Clippers right now. They don't have any young assets they'd include in a deal who would be particularly appealing and don't have a tradable first rounder until 2031 because of the Donovan Mitchell deal.

The Heat and Nuggets are a bit more interesting. The Nuggets could offer up Christian Braun in a trade while the Heat have a lot more draft capital than the other two.

The Clippers could consider reasonable offers for Leonard after going 24-21 without him this past season, but they don't need to rush into anything.

Leonard still has a couple of years left on his contract with the Clippers and continued to play at a high level when healthy.this past season.

The Clippers seem much more likely to try and see how they can bolster their lineup for another run with Leonard next season, but they'll also have some options out there if they decide to move on from the Leonard era in LA.
