Thunder Earn Excellent Regular Season Grade After Historic Campaign

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the way for the Thunder this season as he is likely headed towards winning his first MVP award.

Shai was not the only star for the Thunder this season though as Jalen Williams made his first All-Star appearance while Chet Holmgren, Isaiah Hartenstein and the rest of their core also played a massive role in their success.

Of course, the Thunder’s defense was the talk of the league this season as they ended with the NBA’s best defense and led almost every defensive category statistically.

With the Thunder putting together a historic season, they earn a perfect A+ grade for their regular season and they will now look to keep things rolling entering the postseason.

Oklahoma City has yet to know who they will play in the first round of the playoffs with the Play-In tournament starting on Tuesday, but it is likely that they will face off against either the Golden State Warriors or Memphis Grizzlies.

Of course, the Dallas Mavericks and Sacramento Kings could also advance to become the eighth seed to take on Oklahoma City in the first round but with their inconsistency this season, it is likely that it will be either the Grizzlies or Warriors.

Either way, the Thunder will likely enter the series as the overwhelming favorites as they look to win their first championship since moving to Oklahoma City from Seattle.
