It has been a dominant season thus far for the Oklahoma City Thunder as they continue their quest to win a championship.
Oklahoma City finished with the best record in the NBA during the regular season and they have continued their dominant stretch into the postseason.
The Thunder started the playoffs by sweeping their way past the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round and they were then able to defeat the Denver Nuggets in seven games in the second round.
Now the Thunder are currently facing off against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference Finals where they are trying to advance to NBA Finals.
While the Thunder’s championship dreams are still alive, they could improve their roster even more in the offseason by way of the 2025 NBA Draft, especially with their two first-round picks.
CBS Sports’ Kyle Boone has the Thunder selecting Danny Wolf, a seven-foot center out of Michigan with the 15th overall pick.
“GM Sam Presti visited Ann Arbor to watch Wolf several times last season, and he'd make sense for a team that seems to prioritize length and skill,” Boone wrote.
Wolf would give the Thunder even more size on their roster, which they need in their second unit with them starting both Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein.
The 21-year-old began his college career at Yale in 2022 and played his first two seasons with the Bulldogs before transferring to Michigan last season.
In his lone season at Michigan, Wolf averaged 13.2 points, 9.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.4 blocks per game while shooting 49.7% from the field and 33.6% from three-point range.
Wolf is great at using his seven-foot frame in the paint on the offensive and defensive ends, but he can also knock down shots from beyond the arc, which is something the Thunder could use off the bench.
Of course, Wolf could end up going higher in the draft but if he is one of the best players available whenever the Thunder’s pick comes up, there would be no doubt that he would fit in well in Oklahoma City.
