Roby played in 45 games for the Thunder this season, starting 28. He shot 51% from the field and 44% from 3, averaging 10.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.6 assists, playing just over 21 minutes a game.
The 24-year-old started 34 games for the Thunder in his sophomore season in 2020-21.
Roby was originally a second-round draft pick by the Detroit Pistons out of Nebraska in 2019, though the Pistons dealt him on draft day to the Dallas Mavericks. In January of his rookie season, the Mavericks traded Roby to the Thunder in exchange for Justin Patton and cash.
In three seasons with the Thunder, Roby started 62 games, playing 102 games overall. He averaged 9.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.6 assists.
Roby was likely the victim of a number crunch in Oklahoma City. The Thunder came away with three first-round picks in this year's draft, including Chet Holmgren, Ousmane Dieng, and Jalen Williams.
