Thunder’s Kenrich Williams Likely Out for Season After Wrist Surgery
Alonzo Adams-USA TODAY Sports

Thunder forward Kenrich Williams suffered a left wrist injury that will require surgery and likely force him to miss the remainder of the season, as relayed by Joe Mussatto of the Oklahoman.

The injury was sustained during Tuesday’s loss to the Kings.

Williams, 28, is 6-foot-6 and averaging 8.0 points and 4.9 rebounds in 53 games, shooting 52 percent from the field. This marks his third season with the Thunder after spending his first two with the Pelicans.

Originally undrafted in 2018, Williams signed a multiyear deal with New Orleans in November 2020. He was then immediately traded to the Thunder as part of a four-team deal that sent Steven Adams to the Pelicans.

Williams signed a contract extension with the Thunder in July.

Oklahoma City (28-34) currently sits in 13th place in the Western Conference, 2.5 games behind the Pelicans for the final play-in spot.
