The Minnesota Timberwolves are on a five-game winning streak. They capped off their week with a 109-106 win against the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday. With that, they now hold the sixth spot in the Western Conference with a 15-8 record.
Up next, they will go up against the Phoenix Suns, who are 13-10 in the league. Minnesota expects a comfortable win, but they might have to achieve that without their star guard.
On Monday, Anthony Edwards was downgraded to questionable with an illness. He put up 15 points, six rebounds and four assists against the Clippers and has averaged 28.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.9 assists.
Minnesota added Edwards to its official injury report as "day-to-day" Monday morning after he did not appear at shootaround, leaving his status uncertain for the 7:30 p.m. ET matchup at Target Center.
Donte DiVincenzo has slid into a primary perimeter role at times and Julius Randle and Rudy Gobert can shoulder added offensive responsibility in the halfcourt. The Timberwolves could also turn to available bench pieces for ball-handling and shot creation.

The Suns arrive in Minneapolis already shorthanded. Phoenix recently suffered Devin Booker 's loss with a right groin strain and Jalen Green is still listed out with a hamstring issue pending reevaluation soon, leaving Dillon Brooks(listed day-to-day) the most likely primary scorer if he is available.
How the Timberwolves balance ball-movement with isolation opportunities for Randle and DiVincenzo will likely determine whether the streak continues.
