Anthony Edwards looked great in the Minnesota Timberwolves’ 131-122 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday. The three-time All-Star helped lead the way for Minnesota, registering 25 points on 10-of-20 shooting, seven rebounds, nine assists, a steal, one block and four three-pointers in 37 minutes of action.
Edwards also made history in the game by becoming the third-youngest player to score 10,000 career points.
The Timberwolves and the Cavs go at it again on Saturday in a rematch, with Cleveland now hosting the game at Rocket Arena. Edwards, however, has been listed on the injury report for that contest and is now in danger of sitting out another game.
Edwards, who is averaging 29.2 points on 50.4% shooting, 5.1 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.4 steals and 3.4 triples in 34.8 minutes per game, is currently dealing with a foot injury. He has played through the issue for at least Minnesota’s last two games. For both contests, Edwards was tagged as questionable to play, but was eventually given the green light to take the court.
On Friday, the Wolves announced via the official injury report that Edwards is questionable again for Saturday’s game against the Cavs.

The fact that Edwards was upgraded to available in Minnesota's last two games, despite carrying a questionable tag, bodes well for his chances of suiting up on Saturday. Then again, it is important to note that the Timberwolves play twice in two nights, with a matchup against Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs scheduled for Sunday. This could be a significant factor in Edwards’ availability against the Cavs.
Minnesota enters Saturday’s game with a 25-13 record. They have won four in a row and will be looking to make it five straight against Donovan Mitchell and Co.
