The Minnesota Timberwolves will open their second-round playoff series against the San Antonio Spurs while managing several key injuries across their roster.

Minnesota advanced past the first round after eliminating the Denver Nuggets in six games. Still, the team could be facing the Spurs in Game 1 without Kyle Anderson, Donte DiVincenzo, Ayo Dosunmu, and Anthony Edwards—the latter already ruled out and expected to miss a few more days recovering from a left knee bruise.

Regarding Dosunmu, the guard already missed the Game 6 closeout victory over the Nuggets with a right calf issue after playing through it earlier in the series.

Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch provided an update on Saturday after his guard was ultimately forced to miss the Nuggets series finale on Thursday. According to Finch, per Pioneer Press' Jace Frederick, Dosunmu has not yet returned to full activity.

“Ayo Dosunmu is still day to day,” Finch said, per Frederick. “Only participated in the light stuff today.”

Considering that Dosunmu only did light practice work on Saturday, his availability for Game 1 is still uncertain, with Minnesota having its opener scheduled for Monday.

Dosunmu played a significant role in the first round amid Edwards' notable absence, including a 43-point performance in Game 4. The guard also scored 18 points, four assists and three rebounds in Game 5 and finished the series leading all Wolves with 21.8 points per game.

If Dosunmu is unable to play, Minnesota should be expected to give Terrence Shannon Jr. his second consecutive start, with Bones Hyland and Jaylen Clark taking on expanded roles.

Game 1 between Minnesota and San Antonio is scheduled for Monday at 9:30 p.m. ET.
