The Timberwolves are giving Bones Hyland another shot.
Per Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, Minnesota and Hyland have agreed to a deal, keeping the former first-rounder in the fold after he finished last season on a two-way contract.
Hyland, 24, has averaged 9.5 points across four NBA seasons with the Nuggets, Clippers, and Wolves.
He appeared in just four games for Minnesota late last year, but there’s some symmetry to the move — Timberwolves president Tim Connelly was the executive who originally drafted Hyland back in Denver.
The 6-foot-3 guard is known as a streaky scorer with deep shooting range. Whether he can carve out a consistent role in Minnesota’s rotation remains to be seen, but for now, he gets another chance to stick on a roster that’s looking to build on last season’s Western Conference Finals appearance.
