Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves faced off against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference finals.

Edwards led Minnesota to a first-round victory over the Los Angeles Lakers and a second-round victory over the Golden State Warriors.

As he continues to find success in the playoffs, Edwards has etched his name in the history books for the Timberwolves.

On Thursday, Minnesota announced that Edwards has surpassed Kevin Garnett for the most playoff points in franchise history. At this point, Edwards has 1,051 points in his playoff career at just 23 years old.

"He’s only 23, btw," posted the official social media account of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Anthony Edwards has led the Minnesota Timberwolves to back-to-back trips to the Western Conference finals. Last season, the Timberwolves fell at the hands of Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks.

Minnesota entered the matchup against Oklahoma City as the underdog, but Edwards has proven that he's able to put the Timberwolves in position to defeat anyone in the league.

Before earning the historic playoff feat with the Timberwolves, Garnett held the franchise record with 1,049 points during his time in Minnesota.

A few other notable names on the Timberwolves' playoff history record book include Karl-Anthony Towns and Latrell Sprewell.

Throughout the season, Anthony Edwards has averaged 27.6 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game.

If Edwards were to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves to a win over the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference finals, they would face the winner of a matchup between the New York Knicks and the Indiana Pacers in the NBA Finals.
