Rudy Gobert has some company in France. The Minnesota Timberwolves star big man is spending the offseason in his home country, but that clearly does not mean that he’s far away from his teammates.
In fact, Anthony Edwards, LaMelo Ball and many other Minnesota players flew across the pond and met up with the four-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award winner in Paris.
Here is a photo of Gobert with his Timberwolves teammates against the backdrop of the marvelous structure the “Stifle Tower” is nicknamed after.

Naturally, Timberwolves fans are hyped to see the squad already building (and strengthening) their chemistry months ahead of the 2026-27 NBA season.
“This team is gonna be special,” a fan said.
“Wayy to go big Ruu. You the OG now. Off to a great start ,” a social media user on X shared.
“This is the year ! Championship season !,” another one commented.
“That’s the men poised for a ring let’s go Ruuuuuud,” a different fan said.
“It’s very nice of you to slouch so all your teammates can look taller in the photos! What a great guy,” another comment read.
With Ball coming over to the Twin Cities via a blockbuster trade with the Charlotte Hornets, the Timberwolves now have a formidable duo in the backcourt consisting of Ball and Edwards. But Gobert should remain an integral figure for Minnesota, which is still considered among the top contenders in the Western Conference amid the rise of the Oklahoma City Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs.
