The New York Knicks were able to keep their season alive on Thursday night as they defeated the Indiana Pacers in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

New York entered Thursday’s game trailing 3-1 in the series and were in a must-win situation on their home court, which they were able to use to their advantage to grab a crucial victory.

The Knicks got out to a fast start in Game 5 and never looked back, dominating their way past the Pacers 111-94.

Jalen Brunson led the way for New York as he finished the game with 32 points, five rebounds and five assists.

Karl-Anthony Towns also had a great game despite playing through injury as he added 24 points and 13 rebounds of his own.

On the other side, the Pacers struggled, especially their star guard Tyrese Haliburton who finished the contest with only eight points and six assists.

It was an incredible performance from the Knicks to keep their season alive as they were able to force Game 6 on Saturday.

On Friday, TNT announced that Thursday’s Game 5 averaged 6.7 million viewers, the most watched Eastern Conference Finals Game 5 since 2018.

TNT also mentioned that viewership peaked at 7.9 million viewers at 9:45 p.m. EST.

These are incredible stats, especially with the NHL playoffs also happening at the same time but it is clear that many were tuning in to see if the Knicks would be able to keep their season alive or if Indiana could advance to the NBA Finals.

Now the Knicks will once again be in a must-win situation on Saturday night as they travel back to Indiana for Game 6 as they try to pick up a victory and force Game 7 at Madison Square Garden on Monday night.

Fans can catch Game 6 between the Knicks and Pacers at 8:00 p.m. EST on TNT on Saturday night.
