The Miami Heat earned the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference and looked the part Sunday in a 115-91 blowout win against the Atlanta Hawks.
Hawks star point guard Trae Young was held to just one made field goal in the game and missed all seven of his three-point attempts. Young scored only eight points in the loss, his lowest-ever total in a playoff game and his worst showing in any game since January 2021.

While Young couldn't find success from beyond the three-point arc, Miami's Duncan Robinson had no such trouble with eight three-pointers on nine attempts. Robinson came off the bench to lead all scorers in the game with 27 points.
Six-time All-Star Jimmy Butler finished with 21 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals in the Heat victory.
Atlanta finished the regular season ninth in the Eastern Conference, but navigated the NBA play-in tournament with wins against the Charlotte Hornets and Cleveland Cavaliers to make the playoffs. Young scored 24 points against the Hornets and 38 points against the Cavaliers.
Game 2 between the Heat and Hawks is scheduled for Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. ET.
