Toronto Raptors Make A Roster Move Following Tuesday’s Game
USA TODAY Sports

On Tuesday evening, the Toronto Raptors defeated the Denver Nuggets 125-110 at home in Canada.

Six players on the Raptors scored in double-digits, and 2022 NBA All-Star Fred VanVleet led the way with 36 points, three rebounds and seven assists.

Following the big win, the team has made a roster move by recalling Joe Wieskamp from the G League.

Via Blake Murphy of Sportsnet: "Joe Wieskamp back up from the 905.

Would guess a few guys have a potential doubleheader day Thu/Sat with both teams at home and staggered start times."

Wieskamp was the 41st pick in the 2021 NBA Draft out of Iowa by the San Antonio Spurs and is in his second season in the league.

He has played in three games for the Raptors this year and is averaging 3.0 points per contest.

In the G League, he has played well in 15 regular season games (this season), averaging 14.3 points per contest on 37.7% shooting from the three-point range.

The Raptors will play their next game on Thursday evening when they host the Oklahoma City Thunder, and their G League team (Raptors 905) will play their next game also at home on Thursday.

Right now, they are the ninth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 33-36 record in 69 games.

Over the last ten games, the Raptors have gone 5-5, and they are an outstanding 21-13 in the 34 games they have hosted at home.

Currently, they are one of the final two play-in tournament spots.
