The Toronto Raptors are bringing Garrett Temple for another season.
Temple agreed to a one-year, $3.6 million deal with the Raptors, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania:

The 39-year-old will return for his 16th NBA season.
Temple appeared in 28 games for the Raptors last season. He averaged 1.9 points, 1.0 rebounds, and 1.1 assist in 8.1 minutes. He didn’t play a whole ton, but his role was largely being a quality veteran presence in the locker room.
Temple has been praised by head coach Darko Rajakovic for his leadership. Temple has been able to connect with the younger players and has served as a valuable mentor for young players like Scottie Barnes.
Since enterting the league in 2009, Temple has played for 12 teams. With his limited on-court action the last few seasons, Temple has stepped up and become valuable with helping the Raptors through this rebuild.
With the Raptors locking up Temple, it gives them 16 players on standard, partially, or non- guaranteed deals. This includes Raptors rookies Collin Murray-Boyles and Alijah Martin who are expected to be officially signed in the next few weeks. The Raptors now have one player over the limit for the regular season but they do have room to bring in additional players into training camp.
From this point on the Raptors will be pretty limited in free agency. Barring a trade, the team will operate a bit over the tax and just below the first apron. Therefore, it’s unlikely the Raptors will have a busy summer.
The Toronto Raptors will kickoff their NBA Summer League schedule on July 11 in Las Vegas.
They will play a four-game preliminary schedule against the Chicago Bulls, Orlando Magic, Denver Nuggets and Golden State Warriors.
