The Memphis Grizzlies returned to the win column on Wednesday after beating the San Antonio Spurs, 129-115, behind the impressive performance of Ja Morant.

The high-flying guard tallied a double-double of 21 points and 12 assists on top of four rebounds and two steals to help the Grizzlies improve to 26-15. They are only 5-5 in their last 10 outings.

Morant once again showcased his athletic ability when he dunked over Spurs center Victor Wembanyama late in the fourth quarter. While it didn't count since Morant was already fouled driving to the lane, the play still swiftly went viral.

To recall, the 25-year-old Morant said in December that he would refrain from dunking anymore to protect himself from injuries.

After the insane poster on the 7-foot-4 Wembanyama, Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young hilariously called cap on Morant's recent remark.

"Y’all really believed Ja when he said he wasn’t dunking anymore," wrote Young on X.

His post has close to 178,000 views, as of writing.

According to NBA.com, so far, Morant has 11 dunk attempts this season, making nine of them. In the 2022-2023 season, when he played 61 games, he converted 55 out of 77 dunk attempts.

The Grizzlies star has had several jaw-dropping throwdowns since entering the NBA in 2019. Fans have been begging him to join the Slam Dunk Contest but he has refused to budge, saying he's more focused on team accomplishments.

Memphis is looking to break out of its slump and tally back-to-back wins against San Antonio when they battle again on Friday.
