Trae Young hasn't had a winning season with the Atlanta Hawks since 2021. That was the last time the Hawks had a deep playoff run with Young as their best player. That season, the franchise made it to the Eastern Conference finals.
However, over the past four years, it hasn't been the same. The Hawks have only been in the postseason twice during that span. Additionally, they've had both first-round exits.
Young hasn't won anything significant since then and has struggled to have significant success with the franchise. On Friday, the four-time All-Star had a cryptic post on X, where he talked about winning.
Young did not give any context for what he was referring to.
"Winning takes care of everything !" Young posted.

This season, the Hawks had a repeat of last year, where they qualified for the Play-In Tournament. Unfortunately for the Atlanta team, the results remain the same.
In 2024, they failed to secure a spot in the Play-In Tournament after they lost to the Chicago Bulls. This year, it was the same after they couldn't secure the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference.
Following their loss, there have been rumors about what's next for Young's career. The All-Star guard still has three years left in his five-year, $215 million contract, including a $48.9 million player option.
Without a star teammate, Young's future in Atlanta remains uncertain. While the former University of Oklahoma star hasn't requested a trade, experts believe he's at a crossroads with the organization.
Last season, he was an All-Star and put up 24.2 points and a league-best 11.6 assists in 76 games. Even with his numbers, however, his team has struggled.
