Portland Trail Blazers guard Blake Wesley has suffered a fracture to the fifth metatarsal bone in his right foot and is out indefinitely, reports Sean Highkin of the Rose Garden Report (Twitter link).

The Blazers confirmed the report (via Twitter), adding that his recovery timeline will be determined at a later date.

Wesley signed a one-year deal with the Blazers this summer. With Scoot Henderson out due to a hamstring tear, Wesley played in each of the Blazers’ first six games, averaging career highs in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks as he put up 6.0 PPG, 3.2 AST, 2.3 TRB, 1.7 steals, and 0.2 blocks in 16.3 minutes per game.

The former 25th overall pick in the 2022 draft played the first three seasons of his career with the Spurs before signing with the Blazers this offseason.

With Wesley out, rookie Caleb Love could be set to take on additional playing time. The undrafted guard has appeared in two games for Portland, averaging 5.0 points and 2.5 assists in 9.5 minutes per game.
