Wrestling legend and WWE executive Triple H congratulated the Milwaukee Bucks on clinching an NBA title Tuesday night by sending the team a custom championship belt.
Triple H, who serves as executive vice president of global talent strategy development as well as COO for WWE, made the announcement Wednesday morning on social media.
In a tweet that included an image of the belt, he specifically mentioned the performances of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday as the Bucks secured the organization’s first championship in 50 years.
.@fiservforum and the @DeerDistrict were rocking last night! Amazing performances by @Giannis_An34, @Khris22m, @Jrue_Holiday11 and the entire @Bucks team throughout the #NBAFinals!

The belt is regaled with the WWE logo and “World Heavyweight Champion.” Making it custom, the belt also includes the Bucks logo along with “Milwaukee Bucks/2021 NBA Champion” messaging on both sides.
This marks the second time in recent weeks that the WWE has congratulated a recently crowned champion with a custom belt. Triple H also did the same for the Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning earlier this month.
New year, same result.

The Bucks eliminated the Phoenix Suns Tuesday night in Game 6 with a 105-98 victory at Fiserv Forum. Antetokounmpo led the way with 50 points — including shooting 17-of-19 from the free-throw line — to go along with 14 rebounds and two assists in 42 minutes.
The Greek Freak, a two-time NBA MVP, was named NBA Finals MVP for his outstanding performance in a series where the Bucks rattled off four straight victories after dropping the first two games.

It remains to be seen whether the custom WWE championship belt will make an appearance at any upcoming festivities in Milwaukee, where the Bucs’ long-awaited second title will be celebrated. Either way, it will make a nice addition to the NBA organization’s growing trophy case.
