Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is a dominant force, and playing against him is not a joke.
Despite the Milwaukee Bucks being unsuccessful in the postseason over the last three years, little blame can be placed on superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.
In fact, the Greek Freak is still a force to be reckoned with in the league as he averaged 30.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game for the Bucks last season.
Speaking of Giannis’ dominance, what the No. 9 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, Collin Murray-Boyles of the Toronto Raptors, said of him is a prime example of it.
In an era where the three-point shot is viewed as the most dominant weapon in any player’s arsenal, Antetokounmpo still relies on his sheer athleticism to destroy his opponents.
For Bucks fans, it’s an enjoyable sight, but for the players who have to defend the Greek Freak? Not so much.
It was proven as Raptors’ Murray-Boyles was asked about which player is the ‘toughest’ to guard in the NBA right now.
“Giannis,” Murray-Boyles told The Athletic. “Do not want to play Giannis, but I will have no choice.”
Who’s the toughest matchup for these NBA rookies?

“Giannis? Oh for sure. He won’t be my matchup. We good.” pic.twitter.com/lH8yIEhNRz
Being a power forward, it’s obvious that Antetokounmpo will be Murray-Boyles’ opponent during the Raptors vs Bucks games.
What’s more for the rookie is the fact that he’s in the Eastern Conference. That would mean he will meet Antetokounmpo multiple times during the season.
Murray-Boyles isn’t the only player who doesn’t want to defend the 2x NBA MVP regularly; Charlotte Hornets‘ Kon Knueppel shares the same sentiment.
“Like Giannis. Getting switched on to Giannis. That would be tough,” Knueppel admitted.
Considering how Giannis is capable of utterly terrorizing his opponents, it’s no surprise that the two rookies want to stay away from the Bucks superstar on the court.
While the rookies prepare to face off vs the Greek Freak, the Bucks need to improve their roster after waiving Damian Lillard.
