Two-time All-Star Victor Oladipo staying with Heat on one-year deal

Two-time All-Star guard Victor Oladipo hasn't been the same since he ruptured the quadriceps tendon in his right knee while with the Indiana Pacers in January 2019 and was traded to the Houston Rockets this past January and then to the Miami Heat in March.

The 29-year-old underwent season-ending surgery on his right quadriceps tendon in May, and ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports Oladipo has agreed to stay with the Heat on a one-year, minimum-salary deal.

NBA insider Shams Charania added.

Oladipo appeared in 33 total regular-season games during the 2020-21 campaign and averaged 19.8 points per contest. Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports Oladipo likely won't return to competitive action until at least the midway point of the 2021-22 season.

Thus far, Oladipo has played in just four games with Miami, so one can only guess what the 2017-18 Most Improved Player will offer the Heat if he can return to full fitness while on his one-year contract.
