Tyrese Haliburton of the Indiana Pacers made history in Game 4 vs. the New York Knicks. He posted a triple-double with a stat line of 32 points, 12 rebounds, 15 assists, and zero turnovers.
Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle spoke about Haliburton’s greatness in these playoffs.
“I get tired of talking about individual numbers… Tyrese is a great player. I think people realize that,” Carlisle said.
“He happens to do some really impressive statistical things. But he’s well aware that all of this far transcends statistics.”
No player has ever achieved a triple-double stat line in an NBA playoff game as Haliburton just did. This news excited Haliburton and it also caused him to make a joke about the situation.
“I feel like we making up stats at some point to make me look better,” Haliburton said.

In today’s NBA, the talking point always revolves around a player’s stat line. Sometimes, credible news sources pull out strange stats just to uplift a player.
Haliburton’s joke certainly has some truth behind it. Still, Haliburton’s Game 4 performance is no joking matter.
The Pacers guard played incredible. Thanks to Haliburton’s play, Indiana is just one win away from reaching the NBA Finals.
