Tyrese Haliburton did not look like his self in Game 5. The reason was an apparent leg injury, which he originally suffered in Game 2. This injury made Haliburton make the wrong type of history in Game 5.
In the game, Haliburton recorded a stat line of four points, seven rebounds, and six assists. He did not make a single field goal, shooting 0-6, while also not recording a single steal or block.
Haliburton committed three fouls and turned the ball over three times in the game. This made Haliburton the first player in Finals history to be held to zero field goals, zero steals or blocks, while committing three fouls and turnovers in over 30 minutes played (34 minutes).
Tyrese Haliburton is the FIRST player in NBA Finals HISTORY to record:
0 FG
0 STL
0 BLK
3+ TOV
3+ fouls
30+ MINS
Worst Finals performance of all time?

After the game, Haliburton’s injury became the topic of discussion.
“If I can walk, then I wanna play,” Haliburton said. “It’s the same area … I don’t know if they’re related.”
This didn’t sound too comforting for Pacers fans. Head coach Rick Carlisle also spoke about the injury to his star point guard.
“We were concerned at halftime, and he insisted on playing,” Carlisle said. “I thought he made a lot of really good things happen in the second half. But he’s not 100%. There are a lot of guys in the series that aren’t.
“We’ll evaluate everything with Tyrese and see how he wakes up (Tuesday),” Carlisle said.
If Haliburton can’t play or play effectively in Game 6, this series will not return to Oklahoma City. The Pacers have made the postseason more interesting, but ultimately the better team will win the title.
