The New York Knicks handily defeated the Boston Celtics in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals on Friday, advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals against a tough Indiana Pacers team. Following the historic win, Knicks fans were caught on camera physically attacking a Pacers fan on the street that was wearing a Tyrese Haliburton Jersey.
The fan that was attacked was later identified as a man named Hans Perez. He was pelted with bags of garbage before being swarmed by a large group of Knicks fans.
Following the incident, Haliburton himself appeared on The Pat McAfee Show and announced that he and the team will be flying Perez and a plus-one out to Indiana for Game 4 of the ECF.
“I personally wanna bring you and a plus one out to Indiana for game four..
Everybody in our organization wants to make sure that you’re taken care of” ~ @TyHaliburton22 #PMSLive https://t.co/QN7dTplbIw pic.twitter.com/B8y1iqVO02

Perez was excited about the opportunity and thanked Haliburton for the special invite. The kind moment came after Perez spent some time speaking to McAfee about the incident and showing off a Pacers tattoo he has on his arm.
The highly-anticipated ECF matchup calls back to an old rivalry between two historic franchises. The Knicks and Pacers aren’t set to face off until Wednesday, and the team won’t be flying Perez and his guest out until Game 4 next week, but we are certainly in for an exiting series.
