Tyrese Haliburton ’s father, John Haliburton, will not attend Indiana Pacers home and road games for the foreseeable future after his incident with Giannis Antetokounmpo . ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania first reported the news, saying the decision was made after the Indiana Pacers front office had conversations with John.

The incident happened at the end of the Pacers vs. Milwaukee Bucks playoff game on Tuesday night. The Pacers defeated the Bucks in Game 5 of the series to advance to the Eastern Conference Semifinals. After the game, John Haliburton walked towards Antetokounmpo, waving a towel and swearing at him.

“I believe in being humble in victory,” Giannis Antetokounmpo said after the game, which ended the Bucks’ season, per ESPN. “A lot of people out there that are like, no, when you win the game, you talk s**t and it’s a green light for you to be disrespectful towards somebody else. I disagree.”

Tyrese Haliburton said he didn’t know what happened until he got back to the locker room. “I don’t agree with what transpired there from him,” Haliburton said. “Basketball is basketball and let’s keep it on the court. I think he just got excited, saw his son make a game-winner and came on the court, but we had a conversation.

John later apologized on social media. “I sincerely apologize to Giannis, the Milwaukee Bucks and the Pacers organization for my actions following tonight’s game,” he wrote. “This was not a good reflection on our sport or my son and I will not make that mistake again.”
